WHAT IS THE TWO BIT MOVIE CLUB?

Two Bit Movie Club has been hosting trash, cult, and classic movie screenings across Brisbane since 2017. It was conceived and is still hosted by Ben McLeay (Boonta Vista) and Benjamin Nichols (Netherworld).

BORLFF! I MEAN, WHAT'S BORLFF? 

Borlff, or, the 'Brisbane Only R..... L...... Film Festival' is Two Bit Movie Club's yearly film celebration that happens at New Farm Cinemas. Each year the R and the L in the acronym change to make a whole new theme, with previous years including 'Rotoscoped Lighting' and 'Repulsive Liquids'. We'll keep doing it as long as we're allowed to and don't worry, the list of future themes isn't short. 

WHEN AND WHERE

Two Bit Movie Club primarily happens at Netherworld Bar, Arcade and Diner at 186 Brunswick St Fortitude Valley as well as The Scratch at 8/1 Park Rd, Milton. We'll occasionally see things on the big screen, usually at the wonderful New Farm Cinemas! You can keep updated with the various events via this site.

WHY DAYBILLS?

Because we love them! And so do our pals Phoebe and Sam of 'Feature Presentation', who help us curate film-based art shows celebrating the unique and logistically difficult Australian daybill format. Expect daybills released in conjunction with cinema screening and our yearly BORLFF.
